Strict Claim Decoupling Guarantee

Your search and verification queries are strictly decoupled from your user account. We never link claims, facts examined, or analysis outputs to your personal identity.

1. Epistemic Freedom & Core Philosophy

Truth Mirror is built to empower individuals to analyze, cross-examine, and verify claims across global media, state wire services, and open press channels. We believe epistemic integrity requires absolute personal privacy: you must be free to research geopolitical, controversial, or sensitive statements without creating an identifiable personal surveillance trail.

2. Account Information & Authentication Security

To provide personalized quota allocations and secure access to the Truth Mirror platform, we store minimal authentication credentials in our secure backend:

  • Identifiers: Your email address or chosen username, used solely for authentication and session dispatching.
  • Cryptographic Password Hashes: Passwords are never stored in plain text. We store only one-way cryptographic salted hashes to verify your identity upon login.
  • Verification Tokens: Transient email verification codes and time-limited session tokens designed to secure active browser sessions.

Authentication data is strictly compartmentalized from the analysis pipelines. Account databases are protected with access controls and are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties.

3. Claim Data & Search Anonymity

The foundation of our architecture is complete query anonymity:

  • Zero Account Linking: Claims submitted through the verification interface or guest search are NEVER LINKED to your user profile, email, or account ID.
  • Stateless Verification Dispatch: When you execute a claim analysis, the query payload is stripped of session identifiers before entering the multi-perspective intelligence pipeline.
  • No Personal Query History: We do not log or store a personal dossier of claims you have verified. Even database administrators cannot determine which user submitted any given claim.

4. Data Usage & Anonymous Public Caching

To ensure high performance and minimize redundant compute and API consumption across global news feeds, Truth Mirror employs a public verification cache:

  • Consensus Synthesis Caching: When a claim is verified, the factual outcome, sentiment spectrum, and cited source URLs are cached by claim fingerprint.
  • Completely De-identified Cache: The cache database records only the verified claim statement, synthesis text, source links, and generation timestamp. It contains zero references to IP addresses, user accounts, or query originators.
  • Public Quick Runs: Common and trending cached claims are surfaced anonymously to other users on the landing page to accelerate instant verification.

5. Local Storage & Cookies

Truth Mirror uses browser local storage exclusively for essential session persistence (such as keeping you logged in between visits) and guest quota tracking. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, fingerprinting scripts, or cross-site telemetry networks.

6. Third-Party News Sources & Wire Services

During live verification, our autonomous pipeline fetches real-time articles from public news feeds, wire services, and journalistic publications. Inquiries to external sources are executed server-side; your personal IP address, identity, and browser environment are never exposed to external publishers.

7. Account Deletion & Contact

You retain the right to delete your account at any time. When an account is terminated, your authentication records and email address are permanently deleted from the database. Because claims are never linked to accounts, there is no personal query log retained on our servers.
